If you are someone who is inspired by the generosity of our lands, waters and people of `Ewa and are ready to steward itʻs natural resources through community philanthropy and the values of aloha `āina then we are so glad you have found us.
We believe that the power of hui, a people united in purpose, guided by `ike kūpuna, ancestral knowledge, will restore agricultural lands to increase food accessibility and equitability for our community.
Currently, 95% of our food and resources are brought to us from the Continental US and other countries. What happens to the health of our people if those shipments are late/undelivered? Our huiʻs goal is to never find out.
Through three different stewardship project sites, Hui o Ho`ohonua offers a range of diverse opportunities for community members to get involved and active in your communities. Our project sites are located in Honouliuli, Waipahu, and Pearl City.
Our goal is to network and weave a lei of pilina, connection, to establish pono regenerative practices to restore the health and `āina momona of our lands, waters and people of the `Ewa moku. Are you interested in being part of a community based change?
